On Friday 21st February, The Glasgow Academical Club London Section gathered for a dinner at the House of Lords, led by section President Aldìs Hamilton. Keynote speaker, Lord Kerr of Kinlochard (1960), captivated the audience with a fascinating speech about his distinguished career as a government diplomat.
The Rector, Dr. Matt Gibson, also took the opportunity to give an update on the state of play at the school, highlighting the latest pupil achievements, the challenges facing the independent education sector, as well as exciting developments that lie ahead.
Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, a tidy sum of £2285 was raised in support of the My Name5 Doddie Foundation.

The event was supported generously by Richard Smith (2009) of Westbourne Wealth Management, whose headline sponsorship made the event possible.
The London Section is grateful to all those who attended the evening and looks forward to welcoming Academicals to its future events.
