Guy Chatfield has been appointed the 90th President of The Glasgow Academical Club as it enters its 160th year.
“It is a singular honour to become President of The Glasgow Academical Club and a personal privilege to follow my father, 21 years after he served in the role,” he commented.
“I offer my sincere thanks to our 89th President Robin Duff for his leadership and energy, and I look forward to building on his positive impact within our community.”
Following Tuesday’s AGM, a gathering of Past Presidents joined Guy for the traditional post event dinner to raise an inaugural toast.
The 142nd Annual Academical Club Dinner takes place this year at Òran Mór on Friday the 6th of November. All Academicals are asked to save the date in their diaries, with further details of the evening to follow in due course.
